Our goal is to share details about public pickleball courts in and around the Phoenix area, where any pickleball player can play with no fees or memberships required to play.
Cholla Park is a small 13-acre park located east of the 101 freeway just off Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. and Via Linda. Cholla Park is located not too far from Horizon Park in the North Scottsdale area and the pickleball courts are known to be very busy due to the smaller number of courts at this park and the demand for court time from the many players in the area.
The amenities at Cholla Park Scottsdale include one baseball field, a playground, one sand volleyball court, picnic areas and four ramadas. There are also restrooms located at this park for visitors using the park facilities.

How Many Pickleball Courts Are at Cholla Park?
The Cholla Park pickleball facility includes 8 outdoor dedicated courts with permanent lines that are very busy in peak playing hours during the mornings and evenings.
I have never played pickleball at Cholla Park due to the distance of this park from my home. But I had the opportunity to talk to a couple of players that were playing when I visited and they said the courts are quite busy during peak playing times. They also indicated they are trying to get the City of Scottsdale to build more courts in the Scottsdale area in order to keep up with the growing demand for pickleball court time.
Pickleball in Scottsdale is quite popular and there are a surprisingly small number of public pickleball courts available for a city the size of Scottsdale.
