For as large of an area that Mesa, Arizona is, there are not a lot of public pickleball courts available in the area. There are several pickleball courts located in the retirement communities that are scattered around Mesa, but you must either be a resident of the community to use the courts or be friends with a resident in order to use any of these courts. How Many Pickleball Courts are in Mesa, Arizona?
As of the writing of this article, there are 17 outdoor public pickleball courts in Mesa, AZ with more on the way later this year.
The Mesa pickleball complex at the Mesa Pickleball and Tennis Center is building new dedicated courts that are projected to be completed at the end of 2023 if all goes well. Hopefully that increases the number of available courts for players to use depending on what the facility does with the non-dedicated courts that are in use now.

Mesa Tennis and Pickleball Center at Gene Autry Park
With the new dedicated pickleball courts being built at this facility, this will be one of the prime places for pickleball enthusiasts to play in East Mesa going forward.
I have been to this facility many times over the years mainly for Tennis, but I have never played pickleball here only because I have many courts to choose from closer to home. But the facility is clean, the existing courts are in good shape, and there is plenty of parking for those that visit.
There are 4 pickleball courts at this park which is in the west Mesa area. Located near the old Fiesta Mall and near Mesa Community College, these courts are freeway close and conveniently located for many east valley residents.
