Our goal is to share details about public pickleball courts in and around the Phoenix area, where any pickleball player can play with no fees or memberships required to play.
Rose Mofford Sports Complex is located on the west side of Phoenix, near the 17 freeway in between major cross streets Peoria Ave and Dunlap Ave. This facility is one of the five sports complexes the City of Phoenix has constructed around the city and so far, only two of these sports complex locations offer pickleball courts.
The athletic amenities at the Rose Mofford Sports Complex are plentiful and just like we wrote in our review of the Encanto Sports Complex, there is a court or field for most any athletic interest at any of the Phoenix area sports complexes, including Rose Mofford.
This facility is also referred to by locals as Rose Mofford Park even though the city has designated it as a sports complex. This is understandable because it looks like most any other park, the difference being the location is full of athletic courts and fields.
The amenities at this facility include soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, racquetball courts, a running track, a playground, a dog park, and of course, the pickleball courts. There is a court, a field, a playground, or a track for most any athletic interest so for active residents living nearby on the west side this facility is a must visit to stay active.

How Many Pickleball Courts Are at Rose Mofford Sports Complex?
The Rose Mofford Park, and Sports Complex pickleball facility includes 3 outdoor dedicated courts with permanent lines and lights for evening play. The pickleball courts at Rose Mofford Sports Complex are located just near the tennis courts and the handball courts almost in the center of the park.
These courts have been in place for several years now, but they are still in great shape just like most of the facilities at this park. The courts are very active, but I am told they are not as busy as some of the other pickleball courts in the area. Be careful on the weekends with parking when there are softball tournaments scheduled, the parking lots fill up quickly making it difficult to find a spot.
But other than that, this is a good place to play pickleball if you live or are staying in the area. Come down 25th Ave either from Peoria or Dunlap Ave, you will drive though a light industrial area before leading you to Rose Mofford Park.
