Our goal is to share details about public pickleball courts in and around the Phoenix area, where any pickleball player can play with no fees or memberships required to play.
Thompson Peak Park is a very nice 29-acre park located off Hayden Road and Thompson Peak Parkway in North Scottsdale. The best entrance to use to park right next to the pickleball courts is the entrance off of Thompson Peak Pkwy which will allow you to pull up right next to the courts.
Thompson Peak Park has mostly been known for the four softball fields, the shaded playground for kids, and the one basketball court, all found at this park. The park is now starting to be a draw for pickleball players from around the area even though some might say this park is a little bit out of the way for pickleball players that don’t live in the area.
Nevertheless, the park at Thompson Peak Scottsdale is clean, the courts are well maintained and there is plenty of parking for those that come to play.

How Many Pickleball Courts Are at Thompson Peak Park?
The Thompson Peak Scottsdale pickleball facility includes 3 outdoor dedicated courts with permanent lines and lights for evening play on these courts. There are also 3 temporary courts that are often set up on the basketball court and all 3 of those courts were set up when I visited.
The pickleball courts at Thompson Peak Park I thought were very nice courts that I would be happy to call my home courts if I lived in the area. There is plenty of parking, the park is clean and in a safe area, and the facilities almost looked new even though the park has been here for quite some time.
