One of the most impressive features of this facility, and something I have not seen at any other public pickleball court in the Phoenix area, is the shaded lounge area running between the courts. I sat there during my visit and was genuinely impressed. Comfortable seating, artificial turf underfoot, and large modern shade canopies overhead make this a proper rest area between games rather than a standard park bench. For players who need to recover between rotations or simply want a comfortable place to wait, this amenity is extraordinary for a public facility.
The courts are busy at the times you would expect for an Arizona outdoor facility, weekday mornings and evenings draw the most players, with weekends similarly active. During the winter months the busy periods extend longer as the weather improves, and more players take to the courts.
A few facility rules worth knowing before you arrive: pickleball play only on the courts, proper footwear with non-marking soles is required, and only water is permitted courtside. Private instruction for pay is not permitted without prior approval from Queen Creek Parks and Recreation.
