Harvest Park opened in March 2024 in the Laveen Village neighborhood of South Phoenix, and with 2 dedicated pickleball courts, lighted for evening play and free to the public, it has quickly become a welcome addition for local players in this part of the Valley.
The 10-acre park is one of three planned for the Laveen area by the City of Phoenix, and if this park is any indication of what is to come, residents have a lot to look forward to.
The park is located just off the 202 freeway at the Dobbins Road exit, situated inside a residential community as a pleasant greenbelt of amenities for local residents and visitors. The setting is genuinely charming, the park feels like a neighborhood gathering place rather than a standalone sports facility, and the pickleball courts are centrally located within the park for easy access.
One fun detail you will notice on arrival, a giant red rocking chair emblazoned with “Harvest Park – Laveen, AZ” sits prominently in the park. It is a playful landmark that captures the community spirit of this neighborhood park perfectly. And as you walk the path through the park, look down, and engraved into the walking path are the five C’s of Arizona’s agricultural history: Copper, Cotton, Cattle, Climate, and Citrus, honoring the farming families who shaped this part of Phoenix.
